Our Story
In the far north of Inari, people have always lived off the land. In this great living tradition, a fifth-generation Samí reindeer herder named Oula passed his way of life down to his daughter. On that day, she received an earmark that identifies her reindeer among the thousands that roam the land. Today, Tiia’s mark is displayed proudly at Taiga.
Taiga represents the pure flavours and hospitality of their home, inviting locals and visitors alike into a world of wild ingredients, craftsmanship and warmth. Every dish is prepared with skill and care, from Oula’s reindeer to delicate local fish and wild berries. Every guest is greeted with the same respect and care. At Taiga, you are always welcome as you are.
Here, you can truly Taste the North.
